Ooty, officially known as Udhagamandalam (also known as Ootacamund abbreviated as Udhagai), is a city and a municipality in the Nilgiris district of the South Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is located 86 km (53 mi) north west of Coimbatore and 128 km (80 mi) south of Mysore and is the headquarters of the Nilgiris district. It is a popular hill station located in the Nilgiri Hills. It is popularly called the "Queen of Hill Stations". It was the summer capital of the Madras Presidency.
Originally occupied by the Toda people, the area came under the rule of the East India Company at the end of the 18th century. The economy is based on tourism and agriculture, along with the manufacture of medicines and photographic film. The town is connected by the Nilgiri ghat roads and Nilgiri Mountain Railway. Its natural environment attracts tourists and it is a popular summer destination.In 2011, the town had a population of 88,430.

DAY 01
Departure from Chennai Central Railway Station by Train no: 12671, Nilgiri Exp at 21.05 hrs.
DAY 02
Arrival at Mettupalayam railway station at 06:20 hrs, alight at the station and board the Nilgiri Passenger Train No. 56136, Dep at 07:10 hrs and transfer to Ooty. Enjoy the journey on the World Heritage Mountain Railway. Pick up at 12:00 Hrs on arrival at Ooty Railway Station.
Transfer to hotel by road, check in hotel at Ooty. Visit to Ooty Lake and Botanical gardens, overnight stay at Ooty.
DAY03
Morning visit the Film shooting places, Pykara falls and lake, etc Proceed to Mudumalai wildlife sanctuary** At Mudumalai, Visit Elephant camp, Jungle ride Later transfer back to hotel Overnight halt at Ooty.
DAY 04
Morning Check out hotel at Ooty. Transfer to Doddabetta Peak and Tea Museum. Later transfer to Coonoor by road. At Coonoor, visit Sims Park, Lambs Rock, and Dolphin's Nose.
Later Proceed to Mettupalayam by road Drop at Mettupalayam Railway Station at 18:00 hrs
Dep. to Chennai by Train No. 12672, Nilgiri Express by 21:20 hours.
DAY 05
Arrival at Chennai Central at 06:25 hours.
